Al al-Bayt University is a public educational institutions of an Arab and Islamic nature, It aims to:

• Form the rounded Muslim personality that is attuned to its environment and to the civilization of the modern world by combining and harmonizing modern scientific knowledge and methodology in teaching, and the requirements of belief and clarity of vision.
• Acquaint the Muslim not only with his own culture, but with the numerous cultures of the world, in order that he/she may place his/her own culture in the context of different cultures and identify the role he/she may play to enrich modern civilization with elements derived from his/her own background.
  
• Activate Muslim participation in all fields of modern life without any debilitating sense of alienation or isolation, and to strengthen the Muslim's ability to communicate with other people in an atmosphere of tolerance and friendliness.
• Deepen the values of freedom of thought and expression, and of tolerance and co-existence based on dialogue and mutual understanding.
• Present the true image of Islam as a way of life that does not seek imposing itself on others.
• Purify Islam of all secret intentions entrained by individuals or groups and of attempts at achieving sectarian, factional, or individual advantages.
• Teach Islam through persuasion and understanding, not preaching and proselytizing.
• Teach the various sciences that can promote the mission of the University, with a view to preparing the Muslim both scientifically and religiously.
