Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, President of the University, received a delegation from the UNHCR/Al-Mafraq office involved Mr. Othman Ishaq, Mr. Nidal Al-Bdour, Mr. Omar Saleh, and Mr. Omar Al-Muhaisen. The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation with UNHCR to overcome the challenges that Al al-Bayt University suffered from because of the refugee crisis which affected the infrastructure and services provided to students and employees, taking into account that Al-Mafraq is the most receptive to the refugees among the Jordanian governorates due to its sensitive geographical location.

Prof. Al-Dmour highlighted that the university has provided assistance to our brothers in the refugee camps especially in the fields of training and rehabilitation. He indicated that the university's research and scientific partnerships play a role in networking with international community organizations to provide all the logistical services and scientific expertise necessary for this cooperation.

The Head of the Field Department in the UNHCR office/Al-Mafraq, Othman Ishaq, stated that this meeting is the commencement of a series of meetings that aim to increase cooperation between the Protection Department of the UNHCR and the Refugee Crisis Management Division in the Crisis Management Center which was lately established by the university administration.

The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Quality and Development, Prof. Bassam Al-Mahasneh, Director of International Relations and the Crisis Management Center, Prof. Moayyad Al-Shawaqfeh, the Vice President for International Marketing and Director of the Excellence Center for Innovation, Dr. Mohammad Al-Hadab, and the Director of Public Relations and Media, Dr. Reem Al-Zoubi.​
