Introductory seminar on Erasmus+ projects at Al al-Bayt University

In the presence of the Vice President for Planning and Development Affairs, Scientific Research Affairs, Quality and International Relations, Prof. Bassam Mahasneh, the Department of International Relations organized an introductory seminar on the projects of the second phase of the Erasmus+ programs.

The seminar was presented by the Dean of the National University College of Technology and the Director of European Projects at the University of Jordan, Prof. Ahmed Al-Salaymeh, the Director of the International Relations Office, Dr. Walaa Al-Smadi, and Dr. Fawaz Al-Khasawneh, the Director of Computer Center at the University College of Technology.

Prof. Al-Salaymeh addressed the procedures, conditions, and criteria of the second phase of the Erasmus+ program 2021-2027 which considers more comprehensive and diversified international projects, such as digital transformation, environment, youth and women. He stressed that the new program sheds light on vocational and technical education as well as capacity building of workers in youth institutions, and provides opportunities for young people, students and professors to benefit from cooperation projects with European partners.

Dr. Walaa Al-Smadi displayed that the second phase concentrates on fostering the youth and encouraging their participation in these projects. Dr. Al-Khasawneh, in turn, handled the procedures of applying for the program, especially in the areas of education, vocational training and sports, and the importance of participating in these programs for their role in developing the skills and abilities of students and faculty members.

At the end of the seminar, which was run by the Director of the Department of International Relations, Prof. Moayyad Shawaqfeh, the participants answered the attendees' questions and enquiries.​
