A workshop for obtaining international accreditation at the Quality and Development Center

As part of the university's endeavor to obtain international accreditation, the most important of which is ABET accreditation, the President of the University, Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, opened the workshop that was held at the Quality and Development Center in attendance of the vice presidents, and the President Advisor for Quality, deans of faculties of (Engineering, Science, Information Technology, Earth and Environmental Sciences), heads of departments, the vice deans for quality, the Director of the Quality and Development Center, Prof. Muhannad Nazzal, and the directors of the Center's departments.

The University President stressed the need to work on a comprehensive policy to control our quality, start a road map, identify shortcomings to complete the application file for international rankings, strive to raise the university level, and work within one team, as this progress is considered a challenge for the university to make our students compete not only in the local market but also in the global one. He confirmed the need to work on the following:

  • Forming an advisory committee for each of the faculties that will apply for ABET accreditation.
  • Evaluating and updating study plans in each faculty and working to solve the gaps.
  • Starting with the actual practical steps in each faculty so that the university can apply this year to obtain ABET accreditation.

The Vice President, Prof. Al-Mahasneh, discussed the eight criteria for applying to ABET, and stressed the need to start the actual steps in each faculty, where the achievement was presented to the advisory committees.
