Message from the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family.

The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at Al al-Bayt University is a specialized academic institution dedicated to developing knowledge and its application in the fields of physical education, movement sciences, and applied sport sciences. The Faculty believes that sport is a science, a practice, and a responsibility, and that preparing qualified professionals is fundamental to advancing individuals, society, and the sports sector.

The Faculty strives to provide high-quality academic education, produce distinguished scientific research, and bridge the gap between knowledge and professional practice through three key pillars:

First: Excellence in Practical and Applied Skills — Preparing graduates who combine theoretical knowledge with practical competence, enhancing their ability to compete in the labour market.

Second: Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation — Integrating modern technologies and intelligent data analytics into education, training, and sports laboratories.

Third: Field Training and Professional Partnerships — Connecting learning with practical experience and strengthening collaboration with sports institutions and specialized federations.

These efforts are supported by specialized sports facilities, including a swimming pool, a multipurpose sports hall, and facilities for gymnastics, weightlifting, tennis, self-defence, and squash, in addition to well-equipped classrooms.

As part of its future vision, the Faculty is working towards introducing a Master’s programme in Physical Education and Applied Sport Sciences in early 2027. This pioneering programme aims to meet the needs of local and regional labour markets. The Faculty is also pursuing academic quality certification for Jordanian higher education institutions and seeking to enhance opportunities for its academic departments to obtain international accreditation.

Our ambition is to establish the Faculty as a leading academic centre for education, research, and applied practice in sport sciences, and as an active partner in serving the community and shaping the future of sport.
