Philosophy of the passive in Arabic
Abstract This study is concerned with a key issue related to the passive voice structure in Arabic language. Passive voice in Arabic has a deep, dynamic and intellectual structure that sometimes states something directly and insinuates another some other time. The Arabic structure of passive voice has an advantage in terms of the form and meaning over the Arabic active voice. For instance the listener reacts with the text and becomes a very basic party of it. This structure can be also a subject for further interpretations, allowing the hearer to understand it in so many different ways. It functions in a way that active voice cannot.
