This study deals with the subject of sports and physical health from the perspective of the Quran and the Sunnah.
This study deals with the subject of sports and physical health from the perspective of the Quran and the Sunnah. It also deals with the health, physical, psychological, and social effects for the Muslim individual and community through their commitment to perform acts of worship that Almighty God commanded them to do to the fullest, such as prayer, fasting, Zakat (obligatory alms), Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) and other acts of worship. This study indicates the attitude of Islam from exercising according to the context of the Quran and Sunnah, where Islam urged people to exercise, but within the terms and limitations of legitimacy.The researcher used the qualitative analytical approach. Results of this study indicated that the worship adhered to by the individual Muslim has a positive healthy and sport effects on the physical, psychological and social areas such as prevention and treatment of many of the body and soul illnesses of the society.
