The Effect of Small Games on Developing the Fourth Basic Grade Students' Motor Skills and Physical Fitness
Maram Hamad Al-Fawwaz Dr. Mansour Nazal Al-zboun Summary This study aimed to know the effect using a program based on small games on the development of some motor skills and physical fitness for fourth grade students. The study sample consisted of 80 students from the Mafraq Directorate of Education, the program of the study was implemented in the second semester of the academic year2012/2013, students were randomly divided into two equal groups , the first experimental group was (40 ) male and female students; while, the second control group was (40) male and female students. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers prepare a program based on small games and taught it to students of the experimental group for 8 weeks , while the control group was taught by the usual program in the school . Then the researchers applied a set of motors skill and physical fitness tests to find out the effects of the program on the study sample . The results showed there were statistically significant differences at (? ? 0.05) between the control and experimental groups in the development physical fitness and motor skills in favor of the experimental group . Furthermore, there were statistically significant differences according to gender in the jump and accuracy tests in favor of males. Keywords: program. Small games . Physical Fitness .
