The present study aimed to find the effect of a computerized educational program on learning the performance skill on shot-putting among students at Faculty of Physical Education at Yarmouk University
ABSTRACT The present study aimed to find the effect of a computerized educational program on learning the performance skill on shot-putting among students at Faculty of Physical Education at Yarmouk University. The sample of the study consisted of 30 students from the Faculty of Physical Education at Yarmouk University, and student were intentionally selected and divided into two equal groups. The first experimental group was taught using the computerized educational program to learn the skill performance skill that is related to shot-putting. On the other hand, the second group used the regular instruction method. The application of the computerized program lasted for five weeks, including three 50-minute lessons weekly. Both researchers used the experimental approach, and the pre- post-test was administered to all groups which participated in the study. The results of the study revealed that there was a significant effect for the computerized educational program on learning the performance skill on shotputting for the students at Yarmouk University. In addition, there were statistically significant differences between the two groups in favor of the experimental group. It was recommended using the computer and the computerized programs in learning shot-putting, its skills, and the various sporting styles. Moreover, it was recommended to provide computers and their educational programs when learning the skills and the various sporting styles.
