The Jordanian Experience in Examining the Constitutionality of Legislation A Comparative Study
This study aims to examine, form a comparative perspective, the Jordanian law approach in reviewing the constitutionality of legislation. This type of review is so important both for maintaining rights and freedoms of people and for the consistency of the whole legal system. The absence of any relevant ?English? study in this regard in the Jordanian law is another reason for examining this issue here. The study, which contains two chapters on of them examines the theory of judicial review in general whereas the other examines the Jordanian law approach, concludes that the style of judicial review adopted in Jordanian law is not adequate recommending to establish a constitutional court as it is the case in many civil ? law systems
