Al al-Bayt holds a webinar with the University of M'sila in Algeria

Within its series of activities under the directives of the University President, Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, to promote partnership and networking with Arab and international universities, the Department of History and Geography at Al al-Bayt University held on Thursday evening 23/Dec./2021 a lecture via ZOOM with the Department of History at the University of M’sila in Algeria entitled “Research Methods in Humanities: Old, Modern and Fancy” presented by Prof. Lakhdar Bolatif, a specialist in medieval history from the University of M’sila, for postgraduate students in the Department of History and other humanities departments at Al al-Bayt University.

The lecture was sponsored by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Prof. Mohammad Al-Khatib, who welcomed the guest stressing the importance of cooperation between Al al-Bayt University and Algerian universities and expressing his thanks to the guest for accepting the invitation to deliver this valuable lecture for graduate students to enrich their knowledge in this field. He also expressed his thanks to the Department of History and Geography praising the efforts made by the Head of the Department and the faculty members for the success of this initiative which is considered an advanced step in the field of distance education and openness to universities outside the borders of home.

On behalf of Dr. ‘Alaa Sa’adeh, Head of the Department of History and Geography, Dr. Khader Al-Sarhan welcomed the lecturer expressing all welcome for coordination between the Department of History and Geography at Al al-Bayt University and the history departments in Arab and international universities.

The axes of the lecture revolved around a brief introduction to the methodology of scientific research in humanities in general, and the scientific methodology in historical studies in particular where a discussion took place between the participants and the lecturer on many research issues of interest to students and researchers in this field.

Prof. Lakhdar Bolatif, thanked the President University, Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the head of the Department of History and Geography, and the coordinator of this lecture, Dr. Khedr Al-Sarhan for this hosting and coordination between Al al-Bayt University and Algerian universities.

At the end, Dr. Al-Sarhan, the coordinator and administer of this meeting, thanked the guest lecturer and attendees hoping to have other meetings to serve the scientific pathway in the two brotherly countries.
