             The
 main objective of the project is to study the possibility of 
exploitation of solar collectors in the Al al-Bayt University for the 
purpose of heating water and try to raise the inlet water temperature 
for the boilers in order to savings diesel fuel, which in turn lead to a
 reduction of emissions of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which will 
be achieved through: 
            - Use of 4600 solar collector already exist at the University camp. 
            - Reduce the diesel bill  
            - Reduction of carbon dioxide produced by the combustion of diesel fuel in boilers

             The
 main aim of the study is to assess the social, economic and 
environmental impact of the biogas technology on Bedouin life, to 
achieve this aim the following objectives will be adapted: 
            (a) To collect information about the potential of animal waste in the Northern Badia of Jordan.  
            (b) To construct and adapted of a small bio-digesters, particularly by small livestock farm households.  
            (c) To calculate the electric energy potential of bio-waste and estimating the potential within the Northern Badia. 
            (d)
 To disseminate the collected information on bio-gas technology from 
animal waste to the local communities, through broad-based public 
education and training, aimed at changing people's perceptions and 
attitudes towards "waste,". 
            (e)
 To develop recommendations on promoting of biogas utilization, 
including access to energy investment financing through Clean 
Development Mechanisms (CDM) or public and private partnerships.
