Responsibilities of The Department of Engineering

 

 1.1. Preparing engineering designs and supervising the implementation of various engineering projects includes the following:
•General review of the project, provide recommendations, and prepare all project documents from calculating quantities and specifications of different items and estimating the expected cost.
• Preparing, reviewing and revising engineering charts and documents for project implementation.
• Identify and approve necessary implementation materials before commencing implementation of the item to provide them in time for work.
• Planning and managing the project implementation period by creating timetable programs for all project activities, reviewing and updating timetable programs according to on-site work progression.

•Planning and identifying systems to reduce the implementation time without affecting the required quality and cost according to predetermined schedules.
• Preparing progress reports and accomplishment ratio for project progress monitoring.

• Periodic follow-up with the main contractor and subcontractors to ensure the required

 progress of their business in line with the overall project schedule.
• Discussing and estimating the project cost and the cost of change orders.
• Identify and evaluate cash flow schedules for project phases.

 

2. Documentation of changes that apply to all University buildings, facilities and all that is related to infrastructure.

3. Provision of technical support, Engineering Consultations and participation in Functional committees.

4. Preparing and conducting engineering and technical studies

 5. Maintaining and archiving all charts, catalogues and documents related to engineering works for everything related to the infrastructure, buildings and facilities of the University.

 6. Oversee and expand energy projects and ensure the continuity of the provision of high quality energy services to the University.
