Awareness Workshop on Cybersecurity Students’ Readiness at Al al-Bayt University

Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah College of Information Technology at Al al-Bayt University organized an awareness workshop titled “Readiness of Cybersecurity Students”, attended by the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Anas Jebreen, several faculty members, cybersecurity experts, and a group of interested students. The workshop was held in Abu Ubaidah Auditorium.

Dr. Jebreen explained that the workshop aimed to highlight the essential skills and knowledge required by students in this vital field to keep up with the fast-paced demands of the job market. He emphasized that cybersecurity is one of the most important disciplines in the digital era due to its critical role in safeguarding national and economic security amidst increasing cyber threats. He also noted that the college is committed to preparing graduates who are both academically and practically qualified, in line with its national responsibility.

The workshop featured expert contributions in several areas, including cyber defense, penetration testing, and network security analysis.

  • Dr. Areej Al-Shorman discussed contemporary digital challenges and the importance of increasing security awareness among individuals and institutions.

  • Eng. Bara’a Ibrahim shared his expertise in network security analysis and the importance of continuous security monitoring.

  • Eng. Ihab Abu Alia focused on the practical aspects of penetration testing.

  • Eng. Qudor Al-Khawalda, Head of the Information Security Division at the university, presented effective strategies for information protection.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Anas Jebreen, on behalf of the Dean Prof. Dr. Mohammad Jaradat, honored the winning students in the CTF Boot to Flag competition, in recognition of their excellence in tackling cybersecurity challenges and solving technical puzzles.​
