Dear Students, Visitors, and Guests:

          I warmly welcome you to the page of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Al al-Bayt University which is designed to introduce the mission and the objectives of the faculty, its strategic plans, its academic departments including their administrative and academic staff, the faculty's scientific achievements, and its approaches in communication at local and international levels of academic communities.

           Founded in 1994 along with the perspective of the University in teaching, research and community service, this Faculty is one of the established faculties which offers programs at the postgraduate level. These are High Diploma in Arabic Language and Literature for Non-Native Speakers, two Master’s degree programs in Arabic Language and Literature and in History, and a PhD program in Arabic Language and Literature. The Faculty also offers three programs at the undergraduate level in Arabic Language and Literature, History, and Applied Geography. The faculty also has the Department of Facultative Humanitarian Requirements which coordinates with other faculties, institutes and centers at the university to teach the humanitarian facultative requirement courses for university students.

           The Faculty programs are tutored by competent academic staff with standard academic ranks, involving 16 professors who hold the rank of professor, 8 associate professors, 5 assistant professors, in addition to 11 instructors. Additional staff members of other relevant faculties also join to participate in teaching humanitarian facultative requirement courses.

            During the academic time frame of (2022-2024), the Deanship looks forward not only to achieving quality standards in teaching, research and management, but also to developing its programs and study plans and innovating new qualitative specialties. Furthermore, the Deanship aspires to attain further advancements n the fields of scientific research and community service, by holding a series of lectures and scientific seminars at faculty level, taking into account the earnest preparations for the 6th International Conference on Linguistics, which will take part in May 2024.
