The reality of using electronic applications installed on smart phones to develop oral expression skills among students of the Arabic Language Course (1) at Al al-Bayt University from the students? point of view
The study aimed to identify the reality of using electronic applications installed on smartphones in developing the oral expression skill among students of the Arabic Language (1) course at Al al-Bayt University from the students' point of view. The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and the researcher constructed a questionnaire to achieve the study objectives. The study population consisted of all students of Al al-Bayt University studying the Arabic Language (1) course, numbering (1914) male and female students, during the first semester of the academic year (2024/2025). A simple random sample of (450) male and female students was selected from them in various specializations within the humanities and science colleges and in different academic years. The study concluded that the extent of development of oral expression skill when using electronic applications installed on smartphones among students of the Arabic Language (1) course at Al al-Bayt University from the students' point of view as a whole was at a high level. It also showed that there were no statistically significant differences (? = 0.05) regarding the extent of development of oral expression skills when using electronic applications installed on smartphones among students of the Arabic Language Course (1) attributed to the variables (college, academic year, and gender). The study recommended the necessity of choosing appropriate electronic applications that provide rich linguistic content appropriate to the level of students, and educating students about the importance of oral expression and increasing its practice; to enhance their linguistic skills even after they have finished studying the Arabic Language Course (1).
