Al al-Bayt University signs two Jordanian-Lebanese memorandums of understanding to promote innovation and empower women

 

President of the University, Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, signed two memorandums of understanding with the Advanced Computer Technology College Center (ACTC. Center) and the French-Lebanese Association for Technical Sciences in Lebanon, in partnership with the Center of Women's Studies and the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Al al-Bayt University.

The memorandums focused on achieving digital transformation in education and innovation in both Lebanon and Jordan, spreading awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation among students and faculty and administrative staff, spreading awareness on the importance of entrepreneurship for women and its support for the knowledge economy, preparing training programs for trainers on guidance of pioneers, exchanging of experiences, success stories and programs, holding workshops and conferences, as well as motivating and participating in initiatives.The memorandums also aimed to strengthen and enhance mutual exchange and cooperation in the areas of documentation and information exchange through mutual visits of experts and specialists to keep pace with new development in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Prof. Al-Dmour stressed the importance of this cooperation in raising awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation stemming from the common desire to develop cooperative relations and strengthen the knowledge, academic and research ties with both parties in Lebanon. He pointed outthat the university will set forth its capabilities tofosterthis joint cooperation in a way that serves the memorandums' goals.

The signing event took place at the university's Liaison Office in Amman by the Director General of the ACTC. Center, Rabee Mustafa Baalbaki, and the Director General of the French-Lebanese Association for Technical Sciences, Ms. Nora Ali Al-Murabi, in attendance of the Director of the Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Dr. Hatem Als-Masaeed, and the Director of the Center of Women's Studies, Dr. Bayan Al-Madi.​
