Abstract This study tackles the story of someone's else's child, which is a short story by the Iranian novelist Jalal Al-e-Ahmad. The story shows the bitter status que of the Iranian woman as well as their suppression by the Iranian man and society. This story has been taken from the surrounding environment that Jalal Al-e-Ahmad has witnessed. Jalal Al-e-Ahmad tries to depict the Iranian woman suffering. He uses a new story- telling technique which shows how distinguished he was in this aspect. Moreover; a genius, creative style in writing short story has been showed. All of this adds a lot of creativity values to the Iranian short story. Jalal's big motif has been that literature is both a message and a responsibility that play a role in presenting his social views, his commitment to his society problems, and his deep analysis in such problems. Jalal uses a critical language that unveils his society's evil aspects and explores the society's mysteries and secrets.
