Business School students participate in the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, students of the Faculty of Business - Healthcare Services Management program - and in application of the theoretical concepts that were addressed, participated in organizing the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in cooperation with the Jabal Zamzam Charity Association. The event aims to provide comprehensive support and care services and promote the building of inclusive, equitable, and accessible societies for all.
Dr. Nancy Al-Shamayleh - the course instructor - confirmed that the International Day of People of Determination is a special event to raise societal awareness of their needs and rights and the importance of building inclusive societies for them, as dealing with this group requires using the language of speaking to the person before the disability, focusing on abilities before challenges, asking the question before providing assistance, and dealing emotionally and moderately without showing pity.
She pointed out that Al al-Bayt University is an example to be followed in supporting people of high determination by providing academic and support services, signing agreements, holding workshops and seminars, and encouraging scientific research related to this group. The university has also been keen to prepare the university campus and modify some buildings to facilitate their movement and transportation.
Many thanks to the Jabal Zamzam Charity Association and everyone who contributed to the success of this event.
