Blood Donation Day at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Al al-Bayt University
On behalf of the President of Al al-Bayt University, Professor Osama Nusier, the Vice President, Professor Hani Akhu Rsheida, inaugurated the activities of the medical day organized by the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences for blood donation in cooperation with the Royal Medical Services - Talal Military Hospital.
Dr. Akhu Rsheida stated that the organization of the medical day for blood donation comes within the framework of the university's keenness to involve its students in serving the local community and engaging in volunteer work as a national duty of the first degree, and that blood donation is a voluntary act, an ongoing charity, and a medical, religious, humanitarian, civilizational initiative and a culture rooted in Jordanian society as it contributes to saving the lives of patients in need of blood transfusions.
The medical day, which was organized according to the highest health standards, included initial examinations for those wishing to donate, followed by blood collection with wide participation from the college students, which reflected their awareness of the importance of blood donation and its humanitarian and national role, and in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Muhammad Nazzal, the Vice Dean, Dr. Marwan Al-Shibli, the Head of the Department of Supporting Medical Sciences, Dr. Abdullah Al-Amoush, and the Assistant Dean, Dr. Thanaa Jarayda.
