Faculty of Physical Education Organizes Sports Coach Development Workshop for Al al-Bayt University Students
Al al-Bayt University's Faculty of Physical Education Organizes a Workshop on "Developing the Athletic Trainer" for Students
The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science at Al al-Bayt University organized a training workshop entitled "Developing the Athletic Trainer and Preparing Him/Her for the Labor Market" in cooperation with the Faculty of Technical Education and the "Coach" company.
The director of the "Coach" company, Tariq Mustafa, spoke about the significant growth in the health club and fitness market, the continuous expansion in sports academies and national teams, in addition to the increasing volume of investment and sports sponsorships, which opens the door to diverse professional opportunities locally and internationally. He also reviewed the most prominent fields in which sports education graduates can work, such as personal training, working in fitness centers, sports academies, managing sports teams, sports content creation, e-training, sports rehabilitation and injuries, sports data analysis, and organizing sports events, in addition to the fields of manufacturing and improving sports equipment.
Coach Tariq Mustafa also pointed out the most prominent challenges facing sports education graduates, including the weakness of practical application and professional skills, poor English language skills and fear of interviews, and the lack of practical certificates, in addition to weak personal marketing and professional relationships.
In another focus, Coach Rajab Ahmed presented a set of practical solutions that help students build a successful professional future, most notably developing practical skills early, obtaining professional certificates, developing the English language, building a professional identity and personal accounts, in addition to expanding the network of professional relationships and clear planning for the career path.
The Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science, Professor Omar Hindawi, explained that the aim of the workshop is to introduce students to the reality of the modern sports sector and the job opportunities available in it, and to link the academic aspect with the requirements of the real labor market, and the college's keenness to continue providing training and awareness programs that contribute to preparing a qualified sports generation capable of competing in the local and international labor market.
At the conclusion of the workshop, which was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Professor Majed Harahsheh, and a number of faculty members from both faculties, the Coach Company presented a number of free training courses in support of the students in attendance.
