Al al-Bayt University... Digital awareness to protect society
In light of the accelerating technological developments and the increasing digital threats globally, Al al-Bayt University continues to affirm its national role in enhancing cybersecurity, as it launched an awareness campaign entitled "Digital Hint" in conjunction with Cybersecurity Awareness Month - October, with the aim of raising the level of safe digital awareness among students and members of society.
This initiative is a true reflection of the university's continued commitment to protecting the digital society, as the campaign was not limited to seasonal publishing, but came within continuous and ongoing efforts to educate individuals and equip them with the necessary skills to face the risks of cyberspace, from digital fraud and data theft, to large-scale cyberattacks.
Through social media, the university broadcast focused awareness messages, ranging from practical tips such as the importance of using strong passwords, being wary of suspicious links, and activating multi-factor authentication, in addition to highlighting emerging risks such as Deepfake and the need to update systems and applications regularly.
Al al-Bayt University affirms that Awareness Month is an opportunity to intensify awareness messages, but it is not the end, but rather a starting point for more sustainable efforts to build a conscious digital culture that contributes to immunizing society and its institutions from electronic threats.
"Cybersecurity is not an option, but a national necessity, and awareness is the first line of defense."
The university's awareness message:
"Cybersecurity awareness is not limited to the month of October, but is a continuous national effort to confront increasing digital threats, and Al al-Bayt University is committed to its role in spreading a safe digital culture among members of society."
