Dean of the Faculty of Science Meets with New Students

The Dean of the Faculty of Science at Al al-Bayt University, Professor Ahmed Abu Zaitoun, and the faculty members in the college, met with the new students.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Abu Zaitoun welcomed the students, congratulating them on joining the college family, considering it a new beginning in their lives, and a stage full of opportunities and challenges that require them to work hard, strive, and constantly seek excellence and creativity.

Dr. Abu Zaitoun presented an overview of the college's establishment, departments, buildings, and laboratories, noting that the university has equipped the college's laboratories with the latest equipment and equipment that meet academic and research requirements, and improve the level of the educational process.

He stressed the importance of students adhering to the study plan, reviewing the heads of departments when facing any problem, and considering the college as a reference for them in everything they need, stressing that all students are equal in rights and duties. He also pointed out the importance of excellence and acquiring the skills necessary to succeed in the labor market, explaining that the college's facilities and resources were created to serve students, and they benefit from them as much as they preserve them.

He urged students to commit and be disciplined and make optimal use of the college's facilities and laboratories.

For her part, Dr. Rana Al-Muher, Assistant Dean of the College, affirmed Al al-Bayt University’s keenness to provide an integrated system of student counseling services to support students in various academic, psychological and social aspects.

She pointed out that the system of penalties and student discipline aims to guide behavior, not to punish, and protects the student and the university together, stressing that the goal of these systems is to enhance the spirit of responsibility and belonging.

During the meeting, an extensive dialogue took place between the students and the speakers from the heads of departments, where each of Dr. Ayat Al-Assistance, Head of the Chemistry Department, Dr. Taghleb Al-Dheeb, Head of the Biological Sciences Department, Dr. Muhammad Al-Gharaibeh, Head of the Mathematics Department, and Dr. Rami Al-Omari, Head of the Physics Department, reviewed the most important features of the study plans in their departments, and discussed the most prominent challenges facing students and ways to address them.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the College stressed the importance of participating in extracurricular activities to refine students’ personalities, and engaging in clubs and youth initiatives launched by the Deanship of Student Affairs, calling for obtaining information from the university’s official sources through its website and its official page on “Facebook”, and following up on announcements and developments periodically.

Students Rami Abu Ras, Malak Youssef, and Dina Al-Harahsha also presented a presentation on their study experience at the College of Science, and the scientific and practical skills they acquired during their years of study, talking about their ambitions and ideas as students on the path to excellence.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Dean of the College for Administrative Affairs and Quality, Dr. Safwan Al-Shara, a number of faculty and administrative staff, and a large number of new students, in the Al-Hassan building at Al al-Bayt University.
