Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences Welcomes New Students
As part of the university's activities to welcome new students, the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences organized a meeting on the occasion of the new students joining the university for this year 2025, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Habes Al-Mashaqa, the Vice Dean, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Shbib, the Assistant Dean, Dr. Ahmed Shdaifat, the representative of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Professor Muhammad Al-Shawafqa, faculty members and students, in the Al-Bakhit Auditorium at the Faculty of Business.
The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Habes Al-Mashaqa, addressed the new students, welcoming them in the name of the President of the University, and described them as the hope of the future, the spirit of the present, and the focus of the educational process at the University. He also congratulated them on their presence among their colleagues at the Faculty and the University, and stressed that university life is a blank page filled by students with their dreams. It is a golden opportunity, a defining moment, a transit station, a window to deepen dialogue, and a fortress for their families.
The Vice Dean, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Shbib, Head of the Department of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems, presented the efforts and tracks undertaken by the department, explaining that the practical character is a feature of the college, with an explanation of the practical and scientific skills that students need for the labor market.
Assistant Dean Dr. Ahmed Shdaifat called on students to persevere and excel, and also stressed the efforts and tracks that the department is working on to solve students' problems, indicating that the doors are open at any time to all students.
The representative of the Deanship of Student Affairs, Muhammad Al-Shawafqa, explained the services provided by the Deanship in terms of housing, employment, provision of financial aid, and medical insurance. He also mentioned the extracurricular activities provided by the Deanship through its various departments, and pointed out the need to pay attention to the consequences of cheating in examinations.
Director of Public Relations and Media, Nasser Al-Shbail, indicated that the university radio welcomes talents and capabilities, while emphasizing the need to pay attention to the transmission of news and to obtain information within the university from its real platforms and from its reliable sources.
At the end of the meeting, an extensive dialogue took place with the new students, and an introductory video about the college was presented, showing its vision, goals, programs, facilities and laboratories.
