Al al-Bayt University signs a memorandum of understanding with Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University in Brunei.
Acting on behalf of the President of the University, the Acting President of Al al-Bayt University, Professor Ahmed Alaونه, received, in the presence of the Vice-Presidents of the University, an official delegation representing Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University from the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam, which is currently visiting the Kingdom in order to conduct scientific and academic discussions and extend research and scientific cooperation with a number of Jordanian academic and national institutions.
Dr. Alaونه discussed with the head of the delegation, Noor Arfan bin Al-Hajj Zainal, areas of joint cooperation between the two sides, in the presence of members of the delegation, Dr. Haj Azmi bin Al-Hajj Metali, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia at Sultan Sharif Ali University, Dr. Muhammad Abu Zaid Al-Amir, and Assistant Registrar Al-Hajj Muhammad Shazwan Nizar bin Al-Hajj Met Zain, ways of joint academic and scientific cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting and visit culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two universities aimed at establishing, strengthening, and developing direct cooperation between the two sides in the fields of scientific research, education, and training of common interest, where Professor Ahmed Alaونه signed on behalf of Al al-Bayt University, while Dr. Al-Hajj Noor Arfan bin Al-Hajj Zainal, President of the University, signed on behalf of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, provided that this memorandum is valid for a period of five years, and included areas of exchange of students and faculty members, cooperation in scientific research, and joint educational and training programs.
During the meeting and visit, which was attended by the Vice-Presidents of the University, Dr. Marai Bani Khaled and Dr. Mohannad Akram, and the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia, Dr. Anas Abu Atta, shields, gifts, books and publications were exchanged, and the delegation concluded its visit with a tour of the University, during which they reviewed the new buildings and the updates that have occurred to the University’s colleges and its various facilities, expressing their appreciation for the level of academic development and infrastructure at the University.
