Al al-Bayt University Enhances Prospects for Academic Cooperation with Joint Scientific Activities with the University of Mosul

Within its continuous endeavor to enhance international partnerships and exchange academic expertise, Al al-Bayt University, represented by the Department of History in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, participated in a series of specialized scientific events hosted by the University of Mosul in the sisterly Republic of Iraq.


Dr. Khader Eid Al-Sarhan, Chairman of the Department of History at Al al-Bayt University, participated as a keynote speaker in two scientific workshops organized by the Department of History in the College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul, bearing the following titles:


1. Programs for Developing Expertise and Holding Partnerships in Jordanian Universities.

2. The Mechanism of Graduate Studies in Jordanian Universities.


During the workshops, Dr. Al-Sarhan reviewed the capabilities and scientific programs offered by Al al-Bayt University, highlighting successful Jordanian models in managing academic partnerships and their controls, and evaluating their success rates. This presentation aims to provide practical models that the College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul can benefit from in the context of its pursuit of development and academic openness, and to explore the possibility of launching joint scientific programs that enhance the efficiency of teaching and research staff in both institutions. The discussion sessions witnessed a remarkable presence from the academic leadership at the University of Mosul, including:


* Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus Al-Jarisi, Dean of the College of Basic Education.

* Professor Dr. Noha Salim, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department.

* Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Luhaibi, Head of the Department of History and Chairman of the Scientific Committee in the Department, Professor Dr. Fathi Salem Al-Luhaibi, and the College Librarian, Assistant Professor Dr. Hind Fakhri.


In addition to the Vice-Deans, Heads of Departments, members of scientific committees, and accreditation and quality committees, who enriched the discussion on ways to adapt these experiences to the Iraqi academic environment.


On the scientific research level, Dr. Khader Eid Al-Sarhan participated as an external examiner in the discussion of a master's thesis in the Department of History in the College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul. This step comes within a program adopted by the University of Mosul to involve scientific competencies from outside Iraq in postgraduate study discussion committees, to ensure the highest standards of quality and continuous improvement in scientific research outputs.​
