The university welcomes researcher Yassine Malouk from Ferhat Abbas University – Setif, from the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

In line with Al al-Bayt University's vision of promoting scientific research and knowledge exchange, the Center for Environmental, Water and Energy Research at Al al-Bayt University welcomed PhD student Yassin Mlouk from Ferhat Abbas University - Setif in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, to spend a three-week research period at the center, under the supervision of Dr. Ibrahim Hamdan, Director of the Center, in the field of groundwater, as part of short-term international research exchange programs.

During the visit, a number of important scientific topics related to the researcher's interests were discussed, most notably the impact of climate change on groundwater, and ways to protect groundwater and determine its vulnerability to pollution using a number of hydrogeological methods, especially in karst aquifers. The researcher also reviewed groundwater monitoring techniques using remote sensing devices for quantity and quality, through the installation of specialized sensors that allow monitoring of groundwater and sending data continuously and around the clock within an international project implemented by Dr. Ibrahim Hamdan in Ajloun Governorate.

This visit comes within the framework of Al al-Bayt University's vision, represented by the Center for Environmental, Water and Energy Research, which aims to support researchers, enhance research and scientific cooperation, and expand the horizons of academic exchange between universities and research institutions locally and internationally.
