Al al-Bayt University organizes an awareness day on combating drugs for the women's sector and university students.

On behalf of the university president, the Vice President for Community Affairs, Professor Dr. Hani Akhu Arshideh, in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Alimat, and the Director of the Sustainable Development and Women's Empowerment Center, Dr. Hatem Al-Masaeed, sponsored the awareness day organized by the university in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Anti-Narcotics Department in Mafraq. It included an awareness lecture on combating drugs, aimed at enhancing awareness and education about the dangers of the drug scourge and its effects on the individual and society, targeting university students and the women's sector in the university. The activity was held in two sessions, the first in the halls of the Faculty of Business and the second in the Al-Bakhit Amphitheater at the college, with a large number of university students, university employees, and academics in attendance.


The representative of the university president, Professor Dr. Hani Akhu Arshideh, welcomed the guest lecturers and attendees from the university, stressing the university administration's interest in networking and cooperation with official and security institutions in organizing such activities, which contribute to raising the level of awareness among university students and employees about the harms and dangers of drugs.


Lecturer Captain Omar Al-Kilani from the Anti-Narcotics Department presented a summary of drugs, their harms and negatives, and the serious health and psychological damages they cause to the individual, family, and society, reviewing the treatment centers provided by the directorate, pointing to the axes of treatment, prevention, and control, and the types and most prominent indicators and signs associated with drug use and promotion, stressing the importance of the role of students and women in the community in preventing and supporting the efforts of the Anti-Narcotics Department to combat this scourge and how to prevent it and its impact, reviewing.


At the conclusion of the lecture, which witnessed attendance and discussion between the lecturer and the attendees, samples were displayed by the Anti-Narcotics Department's exhibition of all narcotic substances.


The representative of the university president presented the university's honorary shield to the Public Security Directorate, represented by the Mafraq Anti-Narcotics Department, in appreciation of their efforts in spreading awareness and combating this scourge.
