Inauguration of an advanced X-ray laboratory at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Al al-Bayt University
On behalf of the University President, Professor Osama Nusier, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al al-Bayt University, Dr. Khalaf Al-Masaeed, inaugurated a state-of-the-art X-ray laboratory at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, in cooperation with the Faculty of Technical Education, LAMA Medical Devices Company, MEDRAY Laboratories, and the Jordanian Society of Radiology Technicians.
During the inauguration, Dr. Khalaf Al-Masaeed emphasized the university administration's commitment to developing the educational and training environment and equipping the faculties with the latest modern equipment and technologies, in line with scientific developments in the medical and applied fields. He pointed out that the establishment of this laboratory is part of the university's vision to enhance the practical and applied aspects of students, raise their professional competence, improve the quality of education and training, and enhance the university's academic and research standing at the local and regional levels.
The Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Professor Muhammad Nazzal, affirmed in his speech that the opening of the laboratory is a true translation of the depth of partnership and cooperation between the higher academic administration, the Board of Trustees of Al al-Bayt University, and the private sector, which contributes to the continuation of the path of excellence and giving within the university.
Nazzal pointed out that this step represents an important milestone in the development of applied scientific disciplines, by enhancing the educational environment and providing the college with the latest advanced equipment and supplies, which provides a modern technical environment that contributes to providing quality scientific studies that keep pace with the rapid developments in the medical and technical fields.
For his part, the representative of MEDRAY Laboratories, Ahmed Alian, explained that the laboratory includes modern equipment and technologies that will contribute to training students on the latest radiation imaging systems, indicating that the laboratory represents a qualitative addition to the educational infrastructure of the university and helps students acquire the necessary practical experience before engaging in the labor market.
The President of the Jordanian Society of Radiology Technicians, Ahmed Malkawi, spoke about the importance of keeping pace with technological developments in the field of radiology and medical imaging, praising the university's efforts in providing advanced laboratories that contribute to preparing qualified cadres scientifically and practically to serve the health sector.
For his part, the representative of LAMA Medical Devices Company, Engineer Obaidat, presented a technical presentation on the devices used inside the laboratory, explaining that they rely on modern and advanced systems in radiation imaging, and provide students with the opportunity to train practically on devices similar to those used in hospitals and specialized medical centers. A video was also presented showing the stages of installation and preparation of the laboratory.
The inauguration was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Technical Education, Professor Majid Al-Harahsheh, the General Manager of LAMA Medical Devices Company, George Lama, in addition to a number of deans of faculties, heads of departments, faculty members, students, and those interested in the medical and technical field.
In conclusion, Dr. Khalaf Al-Masaeed honored the participants, supporters, and contributing partners in the completion of this laboratory and conducted an introductory tour inside its facilities.
