Al-Dmour Meets the Faculties and Institutes’ Top-Ranking Students

​President of the University, Prof. Hani Al-Dmour, met the university faculties' top-ranking students of various majors and academic years. Al-Damour expressed his pride in this group of students calling them “Tomorrow's Entrepreneurs". He displayed that the meeting aims to confirm that they are distinguished partners in proposing suggestions for the university concerning how to embrace this distinction.

Al-Dmour indicated that academic excellence is an important part of the university student's personality. However, the university seeks to find an integrated university personality equipped with innovative, creative and scientific research skills looking forward seriously to the postgraduate stage. As such, Al-Dmour encouraged his students to participate in the activities of the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Deanship of Student Affairs, particularly in the activities of the Sports Department.

Throughout the meeting, Al-Dmour demonstrated the large- size challenges and obstacles confronted by the university. Nonetheless, he confirmed that he still believes in the potentials of Al al-Bayt University students and their continued excellence as well as their ability to obtain local and international awards and accomplish achievements that enhance the university's good reputation.

Then, the students were given the floor to their enquiries in terms of important issues such as students' health insurance in government, military and private hospitals, linking the majors' theoretical aspects with the practical ones, offering some courses and distributing them on the days of the week, considering the possibility for students of educational majors to train outside Mafraq Governorate, solving registration and transportation problems that students face in each semester, reconsidering the tuition fees of the top-ranking students on the parallel system, and so on.

The University President, vice presidents, and deans, in turn, responded to the students' enquiries and questions. Accordingly, Al-Dmour pointed out that the top-ranking students will be motivated and honored financially and morally, and the possibility of sending them abroad to complete their graduate studies will be addressed. He added that the study plans of some courses will be reviewed to meet the needs of the global and labor market. Al-Dmour also indicated that there is a tendency to include three training hours for some majors such as law and business, rehabilitate the laboratories of the Faculties of Science and Applied Geography, and provide Wi-Fi service on campus soon.

The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Quality and Development, Prof. Bassam Al-Mahasneh, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mohammad Al-Harahsheh, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Omar Al-Ateen, the President Assistant for International Marketing and Director of the Excellence Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mohammad Al-Hadab, deans and heads of departments and the top-ranking students.
