Seminar on Political Reform and Youth Empowerment at Al al-Bayt University

The Department of Cultural and Social Activity/the Deanship of Student Affairs hosted members of the Royal Commission for Reform to talk about political reform in Jordan in attendance of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Omar Al-Ateen, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Sayel Al-Sarhan. Prof. Al-Ateen stressed that young people are the knights of change and future leaders calling for the necessity of overcoming the difficulties they face. He indicated that they should involve in political life in Jordan which will reflect positively on the national political reform process.

Former Labor Minister, Nidal al-Bataineh, confirmed the need to support parties and seek to form partisan governments despite the reverse forces that are fighting the political reform process. He added that we need programmatic political parties that focus on the economy, and the required administrative, social and political reform.

Head of the Parties Committee in the Royal Committee for Reform, Eng. Adnan Al-Sawa'eer, said that the royal messages charted the road map for changing the intellectual pattern of young people with regard to partisan and political work.

Sheikh Munwir Al-Sarhan indicated that the opportunity is now available for young people and university students to put their fingerprints on political work to serve Jordan as a whole. At the end of the seminar, an extensive discussion on the political reform process in Jordan took place.​​​
