As part of its scientific and cultural events, the Faculty of Law at Al al-Bayt University in collaboration with Al-Mafraq Court of First Instance and the Bar Association organized a lecture entitled “Students of the Faculty of Law after Graduation.”

The Dean, Prof. Eid Al-Husban, explained the importance of the information that law students receive from the Faculty, the professional and occupational paths they can choose, and the reality of what awaits them after graduation. As such, he pointed out the significance of hosting specialists to talk about the practical aspect after graduation as the Faculty’s mission is to prepare students theoretically and then move on to training and practice.

The President of Al-Mafraq Court of First Instance, Judge Murdi Al-Khasawneh discussed the law students’ path in the judicial position and how judges are selected to work in the judicial corps. He pointed out the main conditions required for this position and appointment, as well as participating in the judicial competitions conducted by the Judicial Council through appointment or study in the Judicial Institute, the enrolment conditions, and excellence during the educational process. He also explained the most important requirements for access to the judiciary, ways of raising the efficiency of the employees of the Ministry of Justice, and the foundations of appointment.

The head of the Freedoms Committee at the Jordanian Bar Association, lawyer Walid Al-Adwan, displayed how to access the legal profession, how to become an active member of the Bar Association, the conditions that are met by the lawyer who wants to practice this profession as stipulated by the laws and regulations in force in the Association, and how to objectively and procedurally obtain a lawyer’s license. He also talked about the establishment of the syndicate and that it is an integral part of an Arab nationalist system that took upon itself to work for the homeland and citizens. He further indicated that the lawyer is the one who defends the citizen and homeland together with his tongue, pen, and strong personality before all institutions and individuals clarifying the facts through the tools of practicing the profession in compliance with legal means and law.

At the end of the lecture, which was attended by the Vice Dean, Dr. Jamal Al-N’aimi, lawyers from the private sector and professors and students of the Faculty of Law at the University, an extensive discussion took place and the attendees’ inquiries were answered.​​
