Al Al-Bayt honors the participants in the personal protection project to confront Corona.
The President of Al al-Bayt University, Prof. Hani Al-Damour, received in his office today a delegation from the British University of Sheffield headed by Professor Tony Ryan, director of the Personal Protection Means Project to confront Corona. During the meeting, ways of cooperation between the two universities were discussed, while President Al-Damour honored Professor Ryan for his efforts with the university.
The Vice President for Planning and Development, Professor Dr. Bassam Mahasneh, honored the participants in the Personal Protection Means project to confront Corona, in the presence of the Director of the Center for Crisis Management, Modeling and Simulation, Professor Dr.
Where the project manager, Professor Tony Ryan from the University of Sheffield, explained that the project aimed to train participants to respond quickly to the consequences of the Corona pandemic by working to implement community initiatives to improve the living environment for Syrian refugees.
The project coordinator, Dr. Al-Shawaqfeh, indicated that the number of beneficiaries of the project is approximately 65 participants from Syrian refugees in and outside Zaatari camp, in addition to Jordanian participants who have been trained in various skills in the responsibility of personal protection.
The trainers in the project, Dr. Muhannad Massad, Dr. Najah Al-Shanableh from Al al-Bayt University, and Dr. Aya Mismar from Petra University, stated that the project was divided into three axes, where the first axis dealt with preserving the environment and facing the burdens of Corona through the manufacture of sterilization materials and personal protection materials to make the university a green area and improve ways Life through hydroponics training within the university.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Mahasneh and Dr. Tony Ryan handed the certificates to the participants.​
