Nine Researchers from Al al-Bayt University Among the Top 2% of the World's Most Influential Scientists for 2025

Stanford University, in collaboration with the global publishing house Elsevier, has included nine faculty members from Al al-Bayt University in the list of the top 2% of the world's most influential scientists for 2025, based on the global database of citation indicators, which is one of the most prominent academic rankings measuring the impact of researchers at the international level.

The ranking included the following names from Al al-Bayt University:

  • Dr. Laith Abu Aliqa - Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II Faculty of Information Technology
  • Professor Dr. Suleiman Al-Houri - Faculty of Business
  • Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Faqih - Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II Faculty of Information Technology
  • Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Bishtawi - Faculty of Nursing
  • Professor Dr. Ahmed Tobaishat - Faculty of Nursing
  • Professor Dr. Amer Ibrahim Al-Omari - Faculty of Science
  • Professor Dr. Muhammad Al-Qadri - Faculty of Nursing
  • Professor Dr. Basem Farasin - Faculty of Science
  • Professor Dr. Loai Tawalbeh - Faculty of Nursing

This ranking is considered one of the most important global research indicators, as it relies on the analysis of massive databases of scientific citations using the Scopus database and focuses on the number of citations, the H-index, and the Hm-index, in addition to the researcher's impact in their primary and sub-field. The list includes only the top 2% of the most influential scientists worldwide in various disciplines.

The President of the University, Professor Dr. Osama Nseir, congratulated the researchers on this prestigious global achievement, stressing that the inclusion of their names in this ranking reflects the scientific standing of the university and demonstrates the competence of the faculty members and their ability to contribute to human knowledge and scientific research regionally and globally.

For his part, the Dean of Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Akef Al-Fuqara, expressed his pride in this achievement, noting that the university continues to support researchers by creating a stimulating academic environment and encouraging cooperation with international universities and research centers, which enhances the university's position in global rankings.

This achievement confirms that it is added to Al al-Bayt University's record full of successes and enhances its leading role in the production of knowledge and support for the advancement of scientific research and innovation in Jordan and the world.​
